| This is a gage to check a center distance dimension. It consists of a fixed ball arbor locating the crank bore (the larger hole) with the pin bore ( the smaller hole) ball arbor being mounted on a movable slide. The indicator checks the movement of the slide as the ball arbor expands in the pin bore hole thus giving a center distance check between the 2 holes. The mean center distance is established with a part like master placed on the gage and the dial indicator set to zero. The gage is shown with the master in place. | |
